Red Dead Redemption - Side Mission GuideFlowers for a Lady
A nice old man is gathering flowers to bring to his housebound wife for their anniversary.
This mission has 2 parts.
Part 1
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed the mission “New Friends, Old Problems” to unlock.
LOCATION:
WALKTHROUGH:
You'll encounter a man named Billy West along the road between MacFarlane's Ranch and Thieves' Landing.
Approach him and press Circle to "Talk to the man".
Billy explains he is picking flowers to bring to his wife Annabel who is unable to get out of the house.
Billy wants to celebrate their 50-year anniversary with a bouquet for her.
John offers to help collect some flowers for him.
Being old himself, Billy accepts an offer of help in gathering more pretty flowers for the bouquet.
You'll then be told to head off to find a selection of flowers.
3 Wild Feverfew (white): Hennigan's Stead/everywhere
3 Red Sage (red): Rio Bravo
3 Desert Sage (purple): Gaptooth Ridge
If you've already got the flowers in your inventory, you can set up a camp nearby, save the game and then reload your save. This should automatically update the mission and spawn you nearby, ready to complete the 2nd part.
Part 2
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have completed "Flowers for a Lady" Part 1.
- Must be carrying at least 3 Wild Feverfew in your satchel.
- Must be carrying at least 3 Red Sage in your satchel.
- Must be carrying at least 3 Desert Sage in your satchel.

WALKTHROUGH:
When you've gathered all of the required flowers, head back to Billy who is now at the cabin just beyond his first location.
As you approach him, he'll take the bouquet and take you inside to meet his darling wife.
Upon entering the cabin Annabel is shown sitting in a chair.
The camera then cuts to the other side of the room where we see Annabel is obviously dead, decomposing, and has been for quite a while...
Senile Billy will explain how Annabel wants to go to Blackwater to ride in those new motorcars.
He'll then beg you to stay for tea and some blackbird pie.
John refuses the invite, heading for the exit.
As John walks out of the door, heading off to an appointment with "Planet Earth", Billy remarks that he and Annabel play bridge on Thursdays.
Flowers for a Lady complete.
Tips
- For the flowers, you can travel to the individual locations described above or check the area south of Ridgewood Farm. All three will appear in that area along the main road. Wild Feverfew are plentiful near Billy's location. Be careful of cougars when gathering red sage or get them west of Lake Don Julio.
- If you pre-collect the flowers, you'll need to wait 6 hours to trigger the next conversation. Going to a nearby safehouse to save the game (can cancel the save) is perfect.
- The monetary reward can be $20-$25. To get the full amount of money you'll need to skip cutscenes and pick the flowers as quickly as possible. You should be able to gather them all with time to waste.
- Before meeting Billy at the front of the cabin, if you head to the back, near a boat, you can rotate the camera in such a way that allows you to see inside the cabin and spot Annabel through a gap in the wood.
- If you head back inside the cabin after the mission you can get up close to Annabel...
- If you walk into her body, her head will fall off and roll across the floor...
- John's expression says it all...
