Red meets up with Shadow Wolf in General Diego's fort in the desert. As they enter the main courtyard, gunfire peppers the ground by their feet, causing them to run for cover.
"Cousin!" calls out Shadow Wolf. "If we wait much longer for the cavalry they will be rescuing our corpses".
The camera cuts to Red who is hiding behind a wall as bullets are flying in his direction from a gatling gun high up on the fort walls.
"If we attack that gatling gun head on we'll both die. I'll draw their fire while you try to find a way inside the walls" suggests Shadow Wolf.
You must successfully pass at least 3 of these 4 targets.
- Accuracy: 70%
- Damage Taken: 70%
- Time: 9:00
- Best Combo: $200
When the mission starts, you're in cover while enemies swarm around the area. Shadow Wolf is further down the ruins and a gatling gun is perched on the wall at the end of the courtyard. It's possible to shoot the enemies and the gatling gun operator from where you are now, but the enemies will respawn a number of times (although not forever).
In order to progress the level, you actually need to follow a specific route and you can largely ignore the enemies in the courtyard for now. If you're facing the gatling gun, there's a building directly to your left with a wooden balcony and some crates below it. An enemy will usually be standing on the balcony. Take him out, then run over to it and jump up at the base of the balcony and Red should grab on and pull himself up.
Head inside the upper floor room and you'll see a hole in the floor where you can drop down. You'll land directly on a knife pickup, giving you some ammo if you need it, but three enemies will appear in the next room so carefully make your way through the doorway and take out the two soldiers behind cover directly ahead, and one behind a wooden bar to the right.
Follow the corridor behind the third enemy to the end which will lead you outside. Just around the corner are two more enemies waiting for you, so take them down with headshots.
Continue through the ruins and a big enemy will charge at you with a pistol and a pickaxe, so back off and blast away at his head until he goes down. Another smaller enemy will usually run back and forth between cover behind him.
Once they're both dealt with, you'll need to jump over a small wall and land down on a lower level. As you go through a doorway, an enemy will usually run away from you into a shady room, so take him down. There'll already be another enemy taking cover to the right, just inside the doorway so watch out for him too as you approach.
Head into the room where you'll spot more enemies through the next doorway, taking cover at the sides of the wall. As you approach the entrance, you'll spot a bunch of enemies, including another big guy, charging towards you, so you might want to backtrack to make some space, or use Deadeye to help pick them off. The enemies tend to drop a lot of health bottles so dying shouldn't be too much of a concern.
Take out any remaining enemies around the corner and you'll notice a small blockade up ahead, however there's a convenient TNT barrel sitting at the bottom of the rubble. Pop a bullet into it and wait a few seconds for it to ignite and explode and you'll be able to continue onwards. You can run towards it to lure more enemies out, then shoot it to try blowing them up, but unfortunately the TNT doesn't really pack much of a punch and it likely won't even kill them, so you're best off using your guns and aiming for headshots on the 4 or 5 enemies who will charge at you.
Incidentally, this hallway is a great place to pick up a large combo and you should quite easily be able to pass the $200 target for the excellent rating.
Continue ahead where you'll come to a blocked doorway. The only way through this time is to shoot the TNT barrel and wait for the explosion to clear a path. On the other side, there'll be a few more enemies who you'll have to dispose of, most of which will take cover to the right of the explosion area.
Follow the hallway to the end and through into another room with some stairs which lead up to the gatling gun. The lower door will swing open and a big pickaxe enemy will head through, so back off and shoot at him as he approaches you.
Once he's down, head up the stairs and take out around three enemies who are hanging around the gatling gun, including the gunner himself who will take multiple headshots to eliminate.
You can get on the gatling gun if you want to use it to shoot at the many enemies in the courtyard, however you'll be leaving yourself quite open to damage from enemy gunfire.
From this point of the level, you just need to keep killing enemies in the courtyard. I'm not sure if there's a set number, but it seems to be around 10 or so. Feel free to stay in cover and kill the ones you can see, or run around like a mad man and shoot them up close. It's riskier, but there's always the chance you'll be able to grab a health bottle.
Eventually, after enough courtyard kills, a cutscene will kick in.
Colonel Daren, missing his arm, enters the area with Shadow Wolf as his prisoner.
He exclaims "Revenge shall be mine!" as he pushes Shadow Wolf to the ground and stands on his back with his fist raised.
You're now in a boss fight with Daren, and he has a rather substantial health bar which you'll see on the right side of your screen.
Thankfully it's just the two of you involved in the battle and there is a lot of cover to use around the ruins in the courtyard but you need to be especially careful whenever you see a bright light shining towards you. Colonel Daren has replaced his missing arm with a cannon and will launch explosive cannon balls towards you at regular intervals. As soon as you spot the bright light, find some cover or use L1 + X to dodge-roll because one is coming your way.
If you're hit with the cannon ball, you'll be knocked down and take some damage.
Other than that, you should just take every opportunity to fire off shots into his head. There's no need to rush the fight, just stay in cover and pop out to fire off shots. He will occasionally use his good arm to fire off shots with his revolver which can deal a decent amount of damage, but constant headshots will keep him stunned and knock his health down quite quickly.
Keep blasting away and eventually Daren will go down in an explosion of blood.
Red runs over to check on Shadow Wolf who has been critically injured by... being stood on...
"Many are the dead who have prayed for this moment. You have done well Red, but his master, Diego, still lives" explains Shadow Wolf as Red holds him.
The sound of a train rings out in the distance.
"That's Diego's war train. Go, cousin, finish what you have started" demands Shadow Wolf who slowly fades away into death.
Red folds Shadow Wolf's arms across his chest and takes his knife, storming over to the dead body of Colonel Daren.
Red then stabs the knife into Daren's chest, saying "Our people now shall know of your courage, cousin". Presumably trying to make it seem like Shadow Wolf was killed during a fight in which he took out Daren.
Red then leaves the area as the camera stays focused on Daren with a knife sticking out of his chest.

Tips
You're best off attempting this one when you've unlocked some of the cheats, especially Invincibility.
In order to get a large combo, you're actually best off disabling the "Golden Gun" cheat and also ensure you select the weakest weapon you have when you start the mission. You don't want to kill enemies in one shot, you want to shoot them multiple times to increase their value before you kill them.
If you have these cheats unlocked, enable Invincibility and Infinite Deadeye. At the start of the mission when you're attacked and surrounded by lots of enemies, just keep using Deadeye and target the enemies feet and hands. You'll probably be able to hit them 4 or 5 times before you kill them which will increase the combo value to $20 or $30. Continue to keep the streak going by shooting more enemies within a few seconds in their hands and feet and you'll end up with something like "$60x2". Find more enemies quickly and shoot them before the combo ends and you'll easily have enough to pass the $300 total. Depending how long to keep it going, you can easily end up with a combo over $1000.
The game will tell you that you completed the challenge when your combo ends, although you'll still need to complete the mission. Once you see the combo has been achieved, turn on Golden Gun again to make the rest of the mission quicker and easier.
If you don't get the combo during the first part of the mission, just restart the level from the pause menu because that's the best place to go for it.
All Bounty Hunter challenges are much easier if you unlock and enable the "Invincibility", "Infinite Deadeye" and "Golden Gun" cheats. For more info, read about Cheats in Red Dead Revolver.
